CMC was created in 2024 by Albus Xiao, a high school junior from Los Altos High, CA. As a classical music lover, Albus has been trained in classical music through playing piano for over 10 years. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, a tech and innovation hub, Albus noticed a lack of artistic scenes, especially classical music performance and appreciation. Therefore, he started the CMC and this website to share fun facts about classical music and to update information on performances throughout the Bay Area, in hopes of encouraging more people especially kids and youth to get to know more about classical music and make it more accessible to the general public.
